句首必须大写，句尾要有标点符号。这是最起码的规矩。

wether 英语中不存在这样的单词。应该是 whether。

We asked whether/if we had to go now.

that 也可以用来引导宾语从句。但 that 在宾语从句中是不作成分的，本身也没有意义，只是一个从句的标志。

此处除了用 whether 外，用 if 也可以。都有“是否”的意思。

此外，用 why 也行。意义也通畅。
