为啥填ing形式而不是原型

Softness and modesty are the most important elements to (avoiding) danger and (living ) a long life.

(avoiding)与(living )不用原形的现由：

（1）to (avoiding)在句子中to不是表示目的所以不是动词，而只作为补充当介词用后面要用现在分词所以要加ing。

（2）(living ) a long life.句子中living（活着的）作为形容词与long来修饰life。所以它要加ing。
