out与off都有离开的意思，但区别在哪？

out: 主要是“从...出来”之意，或是表示某人或某事物已经不再停留在原处

如：

The servant bowed the guests out as they left.  客人们离去时，仆人躬身送他们出门。

They hit the hold-up alarms, I gotta get out before the cops show. 他们按动警钟，我得在警察来之前离去

off：从某处离开，或是表示有时间或空间上的距离

I called him but he ran off. 我喊他，可他跑开了。

We are off for a while. 我们要离开一会儿。

He was finally forced off the political stage last year by the deterioration of his physical condition. 他最终因身体状况恶化被迫于去年离开了政治舞台。
