The function of paragraphs is the way to logically arrange the interpretation on the intention and theme of the article. Normally the functions of paragraphs include the four steps in the composition of an article. Those steps related to the intentions and themes are: Introduction; Elucidation; Transition to another view point, and Conclusion.  

段落的功能是那方法逻辑地去演绎文章的主题宗旨；通常段落的功能包含在文章写作里的四个步骤，这些相关文章的主题宗旨步骤是：起、承、转、合。
