You have been in college for a period of time, what did you experience? What do you think of your new life? Write a letter to your parents and tell them:

 

1. What you experienced and how you feel about it;

2. What your attitudes toward college life (on learning, study, making friends, etc.) are.

Dear Dad and Mom,

 

I love you all. Wish to see that Dad and Mom are healthy and happy.

 

Time flies, and it has been another year. I am now a sophomore student in the College. I would like to share my experience of learning live with you.

 

Over the past year in the course of learning as a freshman, the study attitudes and behaviors had been tremendously life-changing as compared to the ways of learning at the high school ages. The importance of personal independent thinking was very much stressed instead of learning and lapping up the information in the way of non-analytic understanding. 

 

Furthermore, plagiarism or copy-cat in writing homework or thesis is strictly forbidden in the college.  Once it has been found, the violator will be expelled and kicked out of the college at once. So I have to make a stand and move carefully every step on the way of learning. I always keep in mind that honesty is the best policy of my learning attitude toward college life.

 

I am now more mature in study at the sophomore year; I prefer to raise all doubtful questions during the lecturing instead of keeping my mouth shut like a dumb egg. I will spend most of my after-school time on reading in the library to enhance my scopes of field with my Major Program of Studies and I will take time frequently to discuss all issues with the Tutors of the college. I don’t study alone and I will boldly communicate or exchange what I have learned with foreign friends in group. All-in-all, I will keep up myself to the perfect.

亲爱的爸爸和妈妈：

时光荏苒，转瞬间又是一年，我现在是一个大二的学生了，我想和你们分享我的学习生活的经历。

　

过去一年学习过程中，作为一个大一新生，比起高中时代岁月学习的方式，学习态度和行为已经是翻天覆地的改变，那注重个人独立思考的重要性是非常强调的，而研习不是对讯息囫囵吞枣的了解。

 

而且，在写作业或论文时，抄袭和模仿是严格禁止的，一旦被发现，违反者会被立刻开除赶出大学，所以在学习的途径上我必须步步为营小心翼翼。我的大学生活学习态度，我常常记住在脑海里诚实是金。

 

我在大学二年级的研习里，现在更加成熟，我喜欢在上讲课时提出所有的疑问，而不是闭上嘴巴，就像一个哑巴子傻蛋。我会把我的大部分课余时间在图书馆里阅读，加强我的主修课课程之研习，我需要频繁地与学院的导师们讨论所有问题，我不会独自学习，我会与外国朋友以小组形式大胆地沟通或交流我所学到的。最重要的，我要保持自己跟得上完善。
