英语里的be加ing问题

The accident was the direct resul of the train being late

resul---result

The accident was the direct result of the train being late.

of 是一个介词，后面要跟宾主。

being late 是动名词作宾语。

the train 实际是 being late 的定语。二者之间是所属关系。

在正规的英文中，此处的 the train 需要用 the train's。

1.实义动词之后加ing

2.修饰词,比如：very
